ABOUT HINWICK HOUSE

Hinwick House has served as a Private Family residence for the last 302 years. The Estate consists of the Queen Anne Main House spread over three floors, the Victorian wing, the Stables, 3 Turret Cottages, the Great Hall, two Ornamental Lakes, a Tennis Court, a magnificent Clock Tower, a period walled garden and an ancient Dovecote.

The Main House has 18 bedrooms which at double occupancy can accommodate 36 guests overnight. We also have 2 beautiful Cottages which are a stones-throw away from the Main House. One cottage has 2 bedrooms and the other 3 bedrooms, allowing for a further 16 guests to stay overnight. We also have some Z beds. At full capacity the house can sleep up to 56 guests if you include the cottages and fold out beds.

Our wedding could never have been what it was without Hinwick House. The staff were attentive and wonderful to work with and we were able to have a venue that both wowed our guests and made them feel at home. It is an extremely versatile venue that can accommodate lots of entertainment, with stunning views both inside the house and on the surrounding grounds. I would use them for any event again in a heartbeat, and cannot recommend them enough!

We had our wedding at Hinwick House and it was exactly what we wanted - beautiful surroundings with space for all our nearest and dearest to stay for the weekend and make wonderful memories. When we hired it it was 'dry hire' and meant we could source all our own suppliers to create the perfect day that was bespoke for us.

It is a wonderful location, full of history and character. Once in a lifetime experience to get to live in a palace like this. Everyone should experience this location. Galina was a wonderful host, gave us a ton of tips and recommendations for organising the event. Made the whole process stress free. Very accommodating and communication was top notch.

From the moment we arrived through those beautifully ornate iron gates into the sweeping gravel driveway, Hinwick House felt like stepping into a gentle storybook — elegant, calm, and full of history. Hinwick House is a fabulous choice: beautiful design, rich history, and most importantly, a team that cares. It’s a rare gem, and I can’t wait to go back.

We recently had our work Christmas do at Hinwick House and it couldn’t have been more of a success. The house itself is incredible and the photos don’t do it justice. We were recommended to use a catering company for the evening meal which was great and it was extremely easy to communicate with Galina and she was very helpful!

The house is gorgeous and great value for money, it was perfect for our company away day. Galina is a great host and communication is a full 5 star

This house is nothing short of impressive. We were a group of 15 and couldn’t have asked for a more magical stay. Dillon was the estate manager who was there too and extremely helpful & responsive. Would highly recommend this listing to all.

what a weekend - a stunning property and excellent hosting space. the many rooms are put to good use and are functioning ideally for activities. we were very fortunate with the weather and Hinwick's grounds offered entertainment. thoroughly enjoyed the tennis. we plan to be back!

Quite simply the most magnificent house. To celebrate my 50th in such an awesome place with my best friends was a dream. This place is fantastic and well worth the money you pay. There is a caretaker on site that really looks out for you. Place is very clean and super spacious. I will definitely be coming back.

With a wide range of indoor and outdoor options, and a whole host of carefully selected suppliers that include event managers, caterers, marquee companies, etc we can help you arrange a truly magical day for you and the ones you love.

PRIVATE CLASSICAL VENUE

On instructions from the owners of the estate, we limit the number of weddings we allow every year. This keeps the estate pristine and preserved and allows for a guest to benefit from a private non-commercial venue that to this day remains a secret. Hiding in plain sight a true example of classical Georgian splendour, Hinwick House is waiting to welcome you in it’s arms.
